CarX Drift Racing 2 takes the high-end drifting games to a whole new level. How can you drift in CarX Drift Racing? First, I want to tell you that this is a drift game, but it is still not a simulation of drifting a real car. This is a game of speed and having the right gear. The goal of the game is to get your drifting skills up so high that you can compete with the best of them.
Before I tell you how to perform tricks in this game, I want to let you know a few rules. This game is not intended for children or adults. I wouldn’t recommend this for a child under the age of 12. It is definitely a fun and challenging game for adults though. That being said, there are still some adult controls included in the interface. If you are up to playing a high-paced car game that contains a lot of drifting, this is probably a good choice for you.
One of the most important techniques in this game is the use of the handbrake. In order to gain the most speed, you need to be able to shift gears while keeping your speed up. You will notice that while in many car games, you will need to use the button to brake before you shift gears, in CarX Drift Racing 2, you will actually need to shift using the paddle. Using the paddle allows you to shift gears much faster and with more control. Some of the other features in the menu include an option to start with a manual transmission, an option to start without air conditioning, and an option to race with four different view modes.
For those who want to take this even further, they can purchase new cars for use in the game. There are three classes of sports cars that you can purchase for use in this title. Each of the three types of cars has specific drift points for each category. There are also a selection of new events that can be completed with your chosen car. These include the “Car Smash” event, the “High Air” event, and the “Chase” event.
When you first fire up the game, you will find that it is in the training mode. This allows you to learn how to use the various features that are available in the car menu. As you progress through the levels, you will be challenged with more difficult courses to complete. The graphics and overall effects are quite impressive for the game’s era. Although there are some really bad looking cars in the lower parts of the screen, overall the graphics are very nice. In fact, some of the most awful looking vehicles seen in other similar car games have been improved considerably by the developers.
CarX Drift Racing 2 on the PC looks very good. It is one of the better launch games on PC for those interested in car sports. The controls don’t have an immediate response, but as you gain more experience in the different driving techniques you should be fine. The game features a tutorial option that will allow you to get a feel for the game’s mechanics and guide you as you start to learn more about drift racing. As with the Nintendo Wii version of the game, there is no LAN play, and you can only play with up to four players using a compatible Xbox Live Arcade gaming platform. However, having said that, online players can still race against each other using an Xbox Live account.
